Kandahar, Afghanistan

Soldiers from Task Force Kandahar transport and provide security in a LAV III for the Task Force Kandahar (TFK) Command around the TFK area of operations.

Soldiers from Task Force Kandahar provided security to Brigadier-General Ahmed Habibi, Commander of the 1st Brigade of the 205th (Hero) Corps of the Afghan National Army and Task Force Kandahar Acting Commander, Colonel Richard Giguère, and Acting TFK Regimental Sergeant Major, Chief Warrant Officer Gerald Blais. Together they visited Salavat and conducted a foot patrol near Chalghowr.

Joint Task Force Kandahar will continue robust security operations in conjunction with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA), Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF), and its coalition and civilian partners in order to eliminate insurgent violence and set the conditions for successful and sustainable governance, development and peace in Southern Afghanistan.

Des membres de la Force opérationnelle – Kandahar transportent le commandant de la Force opérationnelle – Kandahar à bord d’un VBL III et assurent sa sécurité autour du secteur d’opérations.

Des membres de la Force opérationnelle – Kandahar ont assuré la sécurité du Brigadier-général Ahmed Habibi, commandant de la 1re Brigade du 205e Corps (Hero) de l’Armée nationale afghane, du Colonel Richard Giguère, commandant par intérim de la Force opérationnelle – Kandahar, et de l’Adjudant-chef Gérald Blais, sergent-major régimentaire par intérim de la Force opérationnelle – Kandahar. Ils ont visité Salavat et effectué une patrouille à pied près de Chalghowr.

En collaboration avec le gouvernement de la République islamique d’Afghanistan, les Forces de sécurité nationale afghanes (FSNA) et ses partenaires civils et de la coalition, la Force opérationnelle – Kandahar continuera de mener des opérations de sécurité vigoureuses pour éliminer la violence insurrectionnelle, établir les conditions pour une gouvernance et un développement durables et instaurer la paix dans le Sud de l’Afghanistan.
