Soldiers from Task Force Kandahar provide security for Major Francois Dufault, Deputy Commander of Task Force Kandahar Battlegroup who attended a Shura on February 24, 2011.

A Shura took place on February 24, 2011 with several PanjwaÕi elders, District Governor, Haji Fazluddin Agha, Brigadier-General Dean Milner, Commander of Task Force Kandahar (TFK), Colonel Hercule Gosselin, Commander of the Operational Mentor and Liaison Team (OMLT), Brigadier-General Bannister, US Army, Admiral Eric T. Olson, US Navy and various Afghan National Security Force (ANSF) officials.

Task Force Kandahar will continue robust security operations in conjunction with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the ANSF and its coalition and civilian partners in order to eliminate insurgent violence and set the conditions for successful and sustainable governance, development and peace in Southern-Afghanistan.

En collaboration avec le gouvernement de la RŽpublique islamique dÕAfghanistan, les Forces de sŽcuritŽ nationale afghanes (FSNA) et ses partenaires civils et de la coalition, la Force opŽrationnelle Ð Kandahar continuera de mener des opŽrations de sŽcuritŽ vigoureuses pour Žliminer la violence insurrectionnelle, Žtablir les conditions pour une gouvernance et un dŽveloppement durables et instaurer la paix dans le Sud de lÕAfghanistan.
