Force Protection Company (FP Coy) is comprised of over one hundred soldiers, Non-Commissioned Member’s (NCM’s) and Officers from Bravo Company, First Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (1 PPCLI). FP Coy is tasked with providing protection and security for elements operating outside of Kandahar Airfield (KAF). FP supports Whole of Government activities by providing protection for diplomatic and project development visits. FP Coy also provides security for logistics patrols tasked with remediation of Canadian Forces tactical infrastructure and equipment from outside of KAF. FP Coy is the last combat unit deployed to KAF.

The Mission Transition Task Force is comprised of approximately 1,000 personnel of all ranks that will be responsible to conduct mission closure of Operation ATHENA in order to enable the Canadian Forces to transition to subsequent operations as directed by the Government of Canada.
