AML-60 – Part 6: Almost finished

So back to the AML project, I have been playing with the weathering, primarily using oils at this stage. I use them by applying oil paint spots across the surfaces of the vehicle and them blending them with soft brush to add fine richness to the otherwise monotonous surface.

As well I have made progress on the base, after preshading this was painted with the same color as the model and then some accents were added by airbrushing slightly different earth shade over the surface in irregular pattern to break the monotony as well as to add bit of visual separation from the vehicle itself. Overall it looks good, I will need to touch up few spots and then attach the clay part of the base to the wooden base.

One last piece to be added is the jerry can that I need to add to the left side doors, I left it out until now to make the weathering easier. Once that is mounted last mud splashes will be added that should be the final stage of weathering.
