For the past year or two I was sometimes wondering what has happened to Tristar.

After quite few good models, not a lot was heard from them. The last piece that I can remember was Jagdpanzer that I was eagerly waiting for at that time. At the end it was big disappointment as it was over-engineered and suffered from bad fit of the parts in my opinion.

So the mystery might be solved now, Trumpeter has today announced that they have acquired “some” of their molds. Not providing more details, we can only speculate which might these be…

In any case this seems to be good move from Trumpeter and definitely for modelers. Let’s get surprised what Trumpeter will do and which Tristar models we might see to rise from the dead.
