Another piece that got coat of primer was Achzarit.

Because this kit has quite a few clear parts – periscopes, there was additional step I took before priming. I have masked the front of the periscope parts with Tamiya masking tape – of course after they were all glued in place, but before attaching the covers which are on top of them. Then airbrushed them with black paint, so that once the front of the periscopes are unmasked (after all the painting is finished), what you can see is the black inside and not light grey primer, which would look weird.

Frankly, I usually don’t care much for the clear parts in the kits, I think very good effects can be achieved also with solid plastic parts using different tricks…
