Over the past weeks just before the Hamilton show I picked up this model from the shelf, where it was sitting ready for painting and spent few hours with it. I followed my usual process:
1. Prime with Tamiya can primer
2. Preshade with Tamiya NATO Black
3. Paint base coat of German grey, this colour is itself quite dark, next time I might actually skip the NATO Black preshading.
4. Add modulation using Tamiya Light grey and white
My goal this time was to make sure I got enough of contrast on this model that will survive further weathering stages to still have striking look at the end.
So far, so good….
